From Santa Maria (west): From the 101 freeway (either going north or south on 101) take the California highway 166 east for Bakersfield. Keep in mind the next services on this road are 54 miles in New Cuyama. The turn off for Pine Mountain Club is roughly 62 miles from highway 101 and is called Hudson Ranch Road. After you pass through New Cuyama, Cuyama and then by the junction of highway 33 on your right you will travel roughly 3 miles until you reach the Hudson Ranch Road turn off on your right. Keep your eyes open for a small sign as there is only one before you get to the turn off. Once you get to the top of a small hill you will start to go downhill, the turn off will come up fairly quickly on your right after you begin going downhill. Take the Hudson Ranch Road turn off and travel 24 miles until you reach Pine Mountain Club. This is the only road into the area from this direction.
